Villa Cristal HOLGUIN . 10 minutes (on foot) from the city center and 20 minutes (by car) from the airport. Located in a central area, the neighborhood is quiet, safe, and its people are friendly and helpful.
Hostel The house has two floors with lovely terraces, where you can not only relax but also have breakfast or dinner outdoors.

We booked for one night but ended up staying for five. We had a room upstairs for the first night and loved it. It was large and had a great bathroom. The terrace was very pretty, with lots of details and a gorgeous view. We especially enjoyed the delicious homemade breakfast… and delicious Cuban coffee! We then moved downstairs (still on the second floor :D) and stayed for four more nights. The second room was almost the same size and also had a great bathroom. There was another terrace on that floor, very cozy. Everything was absolutely clean. There was nothing to complain about. The apartment is close to the taxi station, from where you can go to Gibara and Guadalavaca. The city center is a 15-minute walk away. Jorge Jr. and Jorge Sr., the hosts, helped us with everything we needed and even told us about the “crazy and secret” restaurant, which—at first glance—looks like a cigar club. Inside, there was live music every night. There was even a fashion show. The dishes are enormous, the food delicious, the service fantastic, and the prices absolutely reasonable. In short, during our three-week stay in Cuba, we enjoyed some of our best days in Holguín. I suppose Villa Cristal and its hosts had a lot to do with it. Thank you, Jorge and Jorge.
